Current Jobng.  Program Director for Youth Educational Support (Y.E.S.)

Family & Youth Advancement Services, Inc. is seeking a committed Christian to direct its Y.E.S. Program.  The program involves building relationship with Hmong children involve in the program, and developing and expanding innovative program activities that will enhance academic learning and encourage positive change in attitude and behavior in the process.

 Responsibilities:

• Recruiting and building relationships with Hmong K-6 children and their parents
• Implementing and expanding the weekly Y.E.S. Program under the direction of the Program Manager
• Maintaining accurate records of all activities with the Y.E.S. Program
• Recruiting, training, and supervising Y.E.S. program volunteers
• Other responsibilities deemed necessary by the Executive Director and/or the Board of Directors

 Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Bible/Theology, Christian Education, Youth Ministry, and/or related fields
• A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• A passion for evangelism
• A strong sense of calling to serve the Hmong community
• The ability to work as a team player
• Strong organizational skills
• A strong agreement with ’s position and values
• A teachable spirit and willingness to learn new methods of evangelism
• Strong oral and written communication skills both in Hmong and English
• Bi-cultural person (Hmong and mainstream American) preferred

 Position Reports to:

• Directly to Program Director
• Indirectly to Executive Director
